Pastor Bob & Shari Bankhead
Pastor Bob & Shari Bankhead met in Bible College in 1981 and married in 1984. There ministry began in 1985 as district youth directors for the Southeast District Foursquare Church. They served there until 1987 when they joined the pastoral staff of Grace Covenant Church in Cornelius, NC serving as Associate Pastors for four years before they assumed the pastoral leadership of New Life Center, A Foursquare Church in Charlotte, NC. After four years, they joined the staff of the Southeast District Foursquare Church Office overseeing and directing the summer camping program and many other areas of ministry.
In August of 2000 Pastor Bob & Shari were asked to become Interim Pastors at Abundant Life in Mooresville, NC. On October 1, 2000 they were installed as the Senior Pastors of the church. As they came to Mooresville it was an obvious opportunity to renew and revitalize a struggling ministry. There have been several stages of remodeling and refurbishing the facilities as well as times of renewal and revitalization in the life of the church family.
Pastor Bob recalls that God placed the goal on his heart of building big people that would love and impact the community and the world. A challenge of discipleship and personal growth has been a focal point of ministry.
Bob & Shari are the proud parents of two sons, Nate and Cameron and a little dog named Hercules.
